Cheers to Two Years: Looking Back and Looking Ahead

Hi all! It's been a minute. I hope you've enjoyed hearing from some of the other incredible women on our team these past few months. I'm so lucky to get to work alongside them.

At the end of August, we celebrated two years of business ownership. I wanted to take a moment to look back on how far we've come, introduce you to some new faces, and share what's ahead this season.

Two Years of Growth

When I look back on the last two years, it's amazing how much has changed. Since taking ownership, we've added:

  • A new online booking system
  • Several new treatment devices
  • A brand-new website
  • New skincare lines and products
  • Several wonderful new staff members

The biggest milestone of all was bringing back the wellness side of our practice. That meant some layout changes and, yes, even more team members. But it has allowed us to offer truly comprehensive concierge care, filling so many of the gaps that exist in traditional healthcare.

Our goal is simple: to be a set-apart practice that truly listens, helps, and cares for the whole person.

I'm so proud of how our aesthetics team adapted to the change in pace, and how seamlessly our wellness team has melded in. Having them in house is such an asset for our patients.

Meet the Team

With more patients coming through our doors, we've welcomed some new faces (and said a bittersweet goodbye to one).

Elora, Front Desk. If you haven't met Elora yet, you're in for a treat. She brings many years of experience in customer service and retail, she's smart as a whip, and she has killer style. I can't wait for you to meet her!

Ashley, Medical Assistant. Our sweet Ashley has moved to a new city and is off to PA school in the spring. She is already so missed. The door is always open, and we would be honored to have her back as a PA one day.

Olivia, Medical Assistant. Olivia is our new MA, with dreams of PA or nursing school in a couple of years. She hasn't missed a beat and has slotted right in as a beloved member of the team, with patients and staff alike.

Anika, Esthetician. Anika is our newest esthetician and a wonderful counterpart to Catie Jo and Becky. She's kind, gentle, and talented. Book a facial with her!

Melissa, Wellness. Wellness patients, I'm sure you've met Melissa! She is incredibly knowledgeable in women's health and wellness and has the best bedside manner.

Whew. And that's just been the last three months!

Growing With Intention

With all this change, I want to be clear about one thing: we feel strongly about growing at a very intentional pace. We don't want to just add, add, add without the infrastructure and support to keep our quality excellent.

If you've been with us for a while, I hope you can tell that we prioritize safety and efficacy alongside innovation. If we bring something to the menu, it's because we believe it's worth the time, money, and effort. We only want the best, for you and for us.

MDS is a curation of high-quality medicine, built on compassion, excellence, and truly being in relationship with one another. We care about your lives and your outcomes. I'm so grateful to work alongside such a strong team of women who carry out that vision every day.

What's Happening This Fall

The HQ Challenge Is Underway

After a frustrating back order with our vendor (we're so sorry for the wait!), our HQ Challenge is officially here. It includes three free Dermaplanes, and there are amazing prizes for the winners. We also bundle the products for you for even more savings. It's always a highlight of our year!

It's Laser Season

Fall is the perfect time for combination treatments. Need some inspiration? Here's what I recommend (and what I'm doing myself):

  • BBL + SkinPen or CoolPeel for a powerful refresh
  • Full-face CO2 with full eye, and go ahead and add neck and chest for good measure
  • Virtue + CoolPeel for a great option with less downtime
  • Add PDGF or Vamp to any of the above to help with recovery and boost collagen

This is the season to invest in your skin and make it as healthy as possible. Good skin is a flex.

Worried About Discomfort? Read This.

If you've ever avoided a treatment because you were worried you couldn't tolerate it, this one's for you. There's a new medication on the market called Journavx. It's a non-opioid pill that doesn't alter your mental status, and in my experience it has been a game changer for in-office treatments.

I'll be honest: I'm a self-proclaimed weenie, and I'd usually rather skip a treatment than deal with discomfort. I've now taken Journavx for three procedures (a CO2, a SkinPen, and Microchanneling) and felt zero discomfort. We carry it in office and can provide it after a medical clearance. Just ask!

Holiday Party and Prebooking

Our annual holiday party is coming up in November, and we can't wait to celebrate with you.

As we head into our busiest season of the year, I highly recommend prebooking your appointments now so you can lock in the best times for your schedule. For a real jump scare: Halloween is this weekend, Thanksgiving is less than a month away, and Christmas and New Year's are only about eight weeks out!

Thank You

I'm thankful for each and every one of you. Thank you for trusting us with your care and for being part of this journey. Cheers to two years, and to many more!
