If you’ve followed my hair journey at all, you know it’s been… layered.
I first did a series of Alma TED treatments in October 2024 after noticing steady shedding that started back in February from stress. More hair in my brush. More hair in the shower. (That’s always been my tracking method — the brush and the drain don’t lie.)
After that very first TED treatment, my shedding paused — and I started seeing new growth. Not just baby hairs, but real regrowth.
Fast forward to now: everything I lost in 2024 has grown back (plus some) after my original postpartum hair loss journey began with baby number two in 2022. So naturally… when I found out about baby number three, I was nervous.
For me, shedding typically starts around 2–3 months postpartum and slows around month 6.
And after finally getting past the 2024 loss, I really didn’t want to start from scratch again.
So, this time, I made a proactive plan with Rachael.
We weren’t waiting for the shedding to happen. We were getting ahead of it.
I can confidently say: the plan is working.
I am currently three months postpartum (historically my peak shedding window) and my shedding has been virtually nonexistent since starting TED again.
I’m still watching the brush. Still checking the drain. Still tracking like I always do. And I’m simply not seeing the loss I experienced with my previous two pregnancies.
That alone feels huge.
I’ll be doing one more session and hoping we can prevent the dreaded postpartum shed altogether. So far, the future looks bright.
And as always — I’ll keep sharing the truth, good or bad.
But I will say this: I’m more optimistic this time than I’ve ever been. I’m not even shedding the amount of hair I would normally expect at this stage.
I also did a big chop in 2025 because my ends had gotten so thin from the previous cycle of loss. So now? We’re in a rebuilding era. Thickness. Length. Strength.
Here’s to regaining it all — and maybe even coming back better than before. 💛
